Memorial Fund to assist Brooke Jacobson's family
A memorial fund has been established to assist the family of Brooke Jacobson, who died as a result of a Feb. 7th fire in Lansing. Brooke's father is a fire fighter with Leavenworth City Fire Department.
Donations can be made to the Brooke Jacobson Memorial Fund, which has been established with Bank Midwest, 2901 S. Fourth St. in Leavenworth. Bank Midwest can be reached at 913-682-2442.
The auxiliaries for Fire District 1 of Leavenworth County and the Leavenworth City Fire Department are planning a pancake memorial fundraiser breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday Feb. 14th at the District 1 fire station located at 111 E. Kansas Ave in Lansing. A $5 donation will be suggested.
The father was taken to The University of Kansas Hospital. The man's wife and son were taken to Children's Mercy Hospital. A second daughter was not injured in the fire
Brooke Alexandra Jacobson, 5, of Lansing, passed away Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, at her home. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday Feb. 14, 2010, with a vigil service beginning at 6 p.m. at the Leintz Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 15, 2010, at Francis De Sales Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
